Head back in time on a day trip from Tallinn and visit the centuries-old Narva Castle and Museum and explore the Eastern Bloc city of Sillamäe. The tour takes you from a beautiful medieval castle ruin to a half-empty Stalin-era industrial town.
What to Expect
Take a small group tour from Tallinn and spend a full day discovering parts of Estonia’s past. Experience the maze of cement and cinder blocks in Stalinist Sillamäe as well at the stunning waterfalls and the Ontike limestone cliff on the Estonian coast.
Head to the industrial town of Sillamäe, stopping along the way at the historic Narva Castle, which stands across the Narva River from Ivangorod Fortress.
Take a photo with the statue of Lenin. See a Soviet T-34 tank as well as other military paraphernalia from the days of the Eastern Bloc on this visit to Narva.
Optional sites that shouldn’t be missed when you’re visiting Estonia include the Blue Hills, Kohtla-Järve, the nuclear missile base, and the Narva-Jõesuu beach resort.
