What People Are Saying About Taipei
Excellent communication from the beginning, when we booked the tour. Nice tour, we expected to see a bit more of Daan Park.
Earlier this month we thoroughly enjoyed our sightseeing day in Taipei with Lawson. It was as if a friend or relative was showing us around! Lawson is very friendly, pleasant person and also courteous. He can communicate in English very well. He didn’t rush us anywhere, giving us ample time to explore the place and take photos! He knows Taipei very well and gave us just enough information at each sight. He gave me a clear quote and itinerary, and was always very prompt while replying. He picked us up from Marriott at around 9AM in his Toyota and covered various places as per his itinerary – LongShun Temple, CSK Memorial, Baoan Temple, Taipei 101, etc. As per my request, he managed to stop at the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant for lunch. I wanted to pay for his lunch – but he flatly declined - saying that cost of his lunch is covered in the price! At the end, he took us to famous Elephant Mountain. It was tiring, but the climb was well worth as the view from the top was great!
Driver good but the bus used for transport smelled bad from cigarette smoke. Suggest it be deodorized and cleaned.
Good tour. This is excellent. You can see many pretty sights of the old goldminers' town. There is a lot of fascinating architecture and there are many beautiful tea houses. Many of the famous Taiwan foods are there, such as stinky tofu. There are many beautiful gift shops. Taiwan's oldest movie theater is there, as well. Jiefun is just a wonderful sight to take it. You can easily imagine it as the wonderful gold mining town that it was one hundred years ago. Our tour guide was also very friendly and helpful. He even came up to my hotel lobby to get me. Talk about curbside service! I also very much enjoyed the beautiful rock formations by the ocean and the homemade shrimp. If you are coming to Taiwan, this is a trip not to be missed.
This was the best tour I had in a long while, seriously. Lawson was amazing: friendly, knowledgeable and kind. He showed me pretty much all of Taipei in one day: we saw the CKS memorial, Taipei 101, 44 Village, LongShan Temple, Confucius Temple, Baoan Temple and we even climbed Elephant Mountain for AMAZING views of Taipei/Taipei 101. And it was early September, too (so kind of hot, like 32+C hot....) And we had lunch, too - those green vegetable dumplings and soy milk soup were really good - thanks, Lawson! I had an amazing day and it was so nice, too to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel. I would definitely recommend booking Lawson as your guide when you come to Taipei. His English is really good, too! :)
