Full description
Travel by coach and discover the spectacular Blue Mountains on a full-day tour from Sydney, and see native wildlife.  The rugged Blue Mountains region forms part of the Great Dividing Range, linking tropical north to temperate south, and dividing coastal cities from the vast outback. Stop at Echo Point and marvel at the famous 3 Sisters rock formation. Continue to Scenic World, where you have the option to take a ride on the Scenic Railway, Cableway or Skyway. Travel through steep valleys and canyons, and see the 3 Sisters from another perspective. Enjoy some free time for lunch in Leura village, and work off the calories on a street stroll. Then it's time to visit Sydney Zoo where you'll get up close and personal to native Australian animals as well as other animals from all over the globe. Your last stop will be Homebush Bay, venue of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Then, you can opt to cruise back to Sydney by boat, sailing along the Parramatta River (own expense). Alternatively, the coach will drop you back in the city at approximately 17:45. Drop offs to most CBD hotels are available, but your driver guide will ask where you would like to be taken.

Peter T. was, without exaggeration, the best tour guide I have had in my life. He possessed a seemingly endless supply of interesting facts about Sydney and Australian history. Peter T. also treated the passengers to perks beyond what were expected of him (bought snacks for us, took a pit stop to a secluded scenic overlook, and bought us keepsakes). Not only did he wield an uncanny knowledge of Australia, he knew when to turn off the commentary and allow his passengers to rest. By the end of the day it felt as though we were traveling with family.—from the American with the lyrebird video
