That was our first trip in Sweden and first guided tour. That was already amazing. We had a real young guide, about 20 years old, but we had the feeling, that he has at least 10 years experience. During the hike, he explains us a lot about the nature. At lunch time, we learned how to make fire and make a barbecue. It was yummy.

The route was good for most people I think. Not so challenging but still you get some exercise. Winter view in the nature park was great. The campfire with nice lunch was the best part for me. Interaction among participants and the guide Daniel was nice, too. I was traveling alone but being with Daniel and the other 2 participants for the 3 hour long hike made me feel a part of group traveling together.

Full description

Make your way to the meeting point and take a short 15-minute drive to a nature reserve in the Swedish wilderness. Upon arrival, put on your wooly hat and begin your adventure into the pristine snow. On the way, learn about plants, Scandinavian animals, and natural scenery. Avoid the paths as much as possible so you will get an appreciation for the depth of the forest and its secret spots. Take a break at around noon and build a fire to warm up. Cook lunch and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee or tea cooked on the open flames. In the Swedish winter, it won't be long before the sun sets on the horizon, so torch lamps will be needed for the last part of the hike. The afternoon is usually the best time to spot animals. If the temperature allows, walk on one of the frozen lakes on your way out of the nature reserve, before returning to the city full of memories.

Meeting point

Meet your guide at Ystadsvägen 18. The meeting point is near metro station Hammarbyhöjden, on the green line, number 17, towards Skarpnäck. When you step off the metro take a left, then exit the metro station. When you arrive at Malmövägen, take a right and follow the sharp 90° turn going left then continue walking for about 5 minutes. On the way, you will pass a café called Bonne Femme. The house on the corner of Ystadsvägen is where you'll meet your guide.

Awsome hiking experience. 10km through the woods, lots of ice snow and wonderfull landscape. guides were awsome. I recomend the experience!
