What to Expect
Walk the Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s 13th-century Old Town, and enjoy a 1-hour guided tour of the cobblestone squares, handsome merchant houses, and alleys, some not much wider than a pin!

The tour starts in front of the Nobel Museum on Stortorget, the oldest square in Stockholm. Stroll down narrow streets, some all too easy to miss without your guide, who will narrate a fascinating commentary as they take you past hidden jewels of one of the best preserved Medieval towns in Europe.

See miniature sculptures, and narrow buildings painted in shades of peach, apricot, and burnt senna. Squeeze down tiny streets, and past the home of assassinated Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. Your guide will also point out museums you can visit on your own at the end of the tour, such as the Medieval Museum, Post Museum, and Photo Museum.

Throughout the tour you will get a great historical overview of Scandinavia’s most fascinating city, explore the Scandinavian lifestyle, and learn about “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” author and journalist Stieg Larsson's famous Millennium series of books.
