The 24-hour hop-on hop-off bus pass is a great way to initially explore Stavanger. After that we went to visit the nicest places on foot (old district, the shopping streets and the many restaurants and cafes at the harbor. Finally, we enjoyed a nice view over the harbor on a terrace..

The buses were on the road until 4 p.m. and started very punctually every 30 minutes near the cruise ship dock. A round trip takes 60 minutes and also leads out of the city center to areas that you can't see on foot. I can recommend the tour and would book it again.
