What to Expect
The tour begins with a picturesque drive along the old Peterhof road, which leads to the Peterhof residence. Peterhof was a brainchild of Peter the Great and it was without a doubt his most ambitious project. Once the Grand palace was finally completed one of the ambassadors who was invited on the occasion of its opening called the residence "seaside paradise". As soon as you arrive there you will understand why he was so astonished.

During this tour you will see the Lower garden, which retains its appearance since the middle of 18 century. You will walk along its alleys and see the most beautiful fountains. Among them are famous trick fountains, which spray unsuspecting visitors with water. Also you will admire original statues acquired by Peter in Italy and enjoy the royal flowerbeds. Right in the middle of the park you will see the largest cascade, which is truly one of the most exquisite you can find in Europe. The Upper garden is another jam of the Peterhof residence where the oldest fountain "Neptune" is located. There you can get a real feeling of 18 century atmosphere...

After a fun walk in the gardens, you will visit the Grand palace, which served as an official royal summer residence until the revolution of 1917. There you will see interiors decorated in baroque, classical and oriental styles. One of the main highlights of the visit would be a study of Peter the Great, which retains its original design for nearly three centuries. After the end of the tour you will taken back to your hotel.
