Moscow, the capital of the largest country in the world is definitely worth a visit. On a full-day tour from St. Petersburg you will have a chance to see the Kremlin, admire the treasures of the Armoury, and walk the famous Red Square.
What to Expect
Early in the morning, start your journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow on a Sapsan speed train and after 4 hours you reach the capital of Russia. Your Moscow guide will meet you on the platform and takes you to the Kremlin by metro. On the way you will have the chance to see the breathtaking interiors of Moscow metro stations, looking more like underground palaces.
The Kremlin overwhelms you with its ancient beauty. You will see the cathedrals where the Russian Tzars were coronated and where they are buried. Visit the palace and get up close to the large canon, which never fired, as well as the giant bell, that never rang. You will then visit the Armoury museum, a real treasury of ancient weapons, carriages, and real Faberge eggs.
After lunch somewhere nearby you will walk along the famous Red Square and have the view of the Kremlin towers and the world-known St Basil's Cathedral, the iconic landmark of Russia. You will also have the chance to have a look at Lenin's Mausoleum and the panorama of Moskva river, before it is time to catch the train back to St. Petersburg.
