Overview
Explore the glorious palace and gardens of the English-style Pavlovsk Palace in St. Petersburg on a 4-hour private tour. Wander around one of the largest landscaped parks in Europe, and admire the exquisite décor of Catherine the Great and Emperor Paul I.
What to Expect
Explore the beautiful landscaped gardens and décor of Pavlovsk Palace, a superb palace-and-park ensemble of the late 18th and early 19th century, situated 18 miles (30 kilometers) from St. Petersburg.

Used as a summer residence for the Russian Emperor Paul I, Catherine the Great commissioned her favorite architect the Scotsman Charles Cameron to build a sanctuary for her heir-apparent. But when Paul I came to the throne, he brought in Vinchenzo Brenna to add romantic touches to the original design.

Get staggering views from the palace’s position on a high bluff overlooking the river and surrounding parkland. Immerse yourself in the world of the tsars and emperors, and see Greek temples, domed rotundas, and stately statues.

Looted by the Nazis, it was immaculately restored after the war, and returned to its heyday when Russia was the dominant power in Europe.
