Day 1: City overview and Peter & Paul Fortress (from 10:00 till 13:00)
Enjoy a city tour by car or van and a small walking tour of the Peter & Paul Fortress. This is the oldest construction in the city, originally built to act as a fortification but later used as a political prison. It has witnessed many of the dramatic changes in Russian history. Visit the Peter & Paul Cathedral, a unique example of 18th-century Russian architecture. For nearly 2 centuries it served as the burial place for Russia’s emperors. Nicholas II, the last Russian tsar and his family were interred in the cathedral's small St. Catherine chapel in 1998.
Day 2: Peterhof (from 09:00 till 13:00)
Explore Peterhof, the most spectacular Imperial estate in Saint Petersburg. Situated at the edge of the sea, the Grand Palace’s park complex boasts a unique array of fountains, considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. The Grand Palace features elaborate interiors, and sits atop a high ridge overlooking the vast lower park.
Day 3: Hermitage Museum Walking Tour and Boat Trip (from 10:00 till 14:00)
Visit the famed Hermitage Museum, the finest gallery of world art in Russia. The Hermitage is undoubtedly the main attraction of Saint Petersburg. It currently houses approximately 2.7 million exhibits and is home to breathtaking masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Titian. In addition, it boasts a unique collection of works by Rembrandt, Rubens, the French Impressionists, and hundreds of the world’s greatest artists.
Enjoy a relaxing Rivers & Canals boat trip that takes you along the picturesque rivers and canals of the city. See many of the main sights of Saint Petersburg from the water. Marvel at the looming silhouettes of the bridges, the grandeur of the waterways, the granite embankments, and the palaces and parks that line the banks of the Neva and the canals.
Day 4: St. Isaac's walking tour (from 10:00 till 12:00), Folk Show with Drinks Reception (from 19:00 till 20:30), and Illuminations Tour (from 20:30 till 23:00)
Visit St. Isaac's, the city’s largest and most significant Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Built in 1858 by the architect Montferrand, the cathedral is now a museum. Its richly adorned interior is lined with marble, and features malachite and lazurite columns. It was intended to accommodate as many as 10,000 worshipers. The observation platform at the foot of the dome commands a fine view over Saint Petersburg and its surroundings.
Your evening begins at the Nikolayevsky Palace where you’ll enjoy traditional Russian dances and music during an elegant reception complete with Russian vodka, and red and black caviar!
Your guide will meet you at Nikolayevsky Palace and the magic continues with the Illuminations Tour. Drive through the city, admiring the spectacular floodlit monuments. If you’re visiting during the summer you have the opportunity to experience the White Nights, observe the opening of the city’s numerous drawbridges. Hotel drop-off is included.
Day 5: Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo) (from 10:00 till 14:00)
Unlock the secrets of the iconic Amber Room during a half-day tour of the magnificent Baroque Palace of Catherine the Great in the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo). Marvel at the numerous ballrooms and imperial halls, and the luxury of the decoration.

Pick-up and drop-off service at your hotel is provided. Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby with a sign that reads MariaRose Tours. If you do not let us know the name of your hotel, you will need to make your own way to the MariaRose Tours office for the tour departure. The address of MariaRose Tours office is 73 Ligovsky Prospekt, Saint-Petersburg. It is a 7-minute walk from the Moscow Railway Station, in a southerly direction.
