Saint Andrew’s Church was built by architect Rastrelli in 1767. It’s original icon-stasis has survived. It has crimson color (art historians define it an “wild strawberry red”) as the Empress Elizabeth wished it.  The interior as well as exterior of St. Andrew’s was designed by Italian architect Rastrelli. I made my full day visit of Kiev yesterday with Taya. In addition to the history and the discovery of the different sites, she taught me a lot about the Ukrainian culture, the way of life, the languages...and all this in a passionate way. I highly recommend it! Thank you Taya! I also recommend to do it by walk, a few kilometers but much better considering the heavy trafic.

We got to see the most beautiful sights in Kiev. Our Guide ( Slava) made the whole experience one we won’t forget. Her knowledge of everything to do with Kiev and it’s long history was amazing and bright it all to life. The guide books for Kiev are all pretty much out of date so it was great to have someone who could bring every detail up to date.

Very deep and good insights into all the details from history to today. Excellent knowledge of German and very lovable. This tour is particularly suitable for anyone interested in art and history. Again and again little anecdotes that are very entertaining.

A lovely sightseeing tour to get a good impression of Kiev & its major sights! I strongly recommend this tour!
