Full description
Plitvice Lakes were declared a National Park in 1949, and in 1979 joined UNESCO's List of World Natural Heritage sites. This park is one of the most precious natural sights in Croatia, with its mystical caves, 16 lakes, and 92 cascading waterfalls which flow into Korana River. Depart from Split in the morning and enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive through the beautiful Croatian countryside to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Treat yourself to a morning coffee along the way. After arriving at around 11:00, embark on a 3-hour guided tour down the park's wooden paths, weaving around the park's many lakes and stopping for lunch amidst the scenic surroundings. Once at Kozjak Lake, you will cross the lake by boat and follow the paths of this fairyland towards Prošćansko Lake, where you will board an electric train and begin your journey back to Split, returning to the city at 19:30.

Everything was fine - sunny weather with breathtaking colors in the nature, national park not so crowded, small nice group, Renato was a really very good guide (good explanations during the trip, very helpful) Excellent!

This is a must see. Our tour guide Barbara was very pleasant. But was a little surprised what I had paid did not included the entry into the park. But the pick up location in Split was great! The staff was very helpful. The ride was 3 hours but Barbara was giving us information while on the drive was great!

Renato was our guide, the way to platvica lakes was very long but Renato comments about the city we passed, geographical land we crossed and just all around knowledge of Croatia and neighboring countries filled the time and it was very interesting. other then that in platvica lakes he also told us some interesting stuff on the place and its past. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes nature and also likes fun facts about the place you are going to visit.
