The day starts at the historic Amphitheatre of Salona. Here, we'll make a short stop to learn about its colorful past before driving to Fort Klis. At the Fort you'll enjoy a guided tou and have the opportunity to take some memorable photos before continuing on to Split.
For many people, Split is the obvious highlight of a Croatia tour. This UNESCO-World-Heritage-awarded city is steeped in history and hosts a wealth of unmissable landmarks--all of which you'll get to see on a 90-minute guided walk of the old city. In case you'd like to take a closer look at something, after the tour, you'll have a further 2 hours to explore at your own leisure.
A must-see on this Split tour is undoubtedly the Diocletian Palace. See the cellars and thermae, Trinclinium, the four gates and the Peristil square. You may even get to here a traditional Dalmatian vocal group, a "klapa," sing! Despite dating back more than 1,700 years, most of the monuments, thermae, and buildings you'll see are extremely well preserved.
