What People Are Saying About Sonoma
This was a great tour with an excellent tour guide (Judith) but people should know that the wine tour ends around 12:30 and you are dropped off back at the pick up point taking your purchases with you. You need to either take them back to your hotel or take them with you on the Alcatraz tour. You have about 2 1/2hrs between these two events. I suggest taking them to your hotel because you don't want a heavy back pack on the tour.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Didn't even notice that we had already driven an hour by the time we reached the valley. We were in SF for 5 days and it was definitely worth the trip out there. The Redwoods were amazing, wines were great! My criticism would be that we felt somewhat rushed. We did a lot in one day, but would have liked more time to take it all in. Just having an hour to explore the Redwoods is tighter than it sounds. I'd suggest extending the time of the entire trip so feels less rushed.
As a local, taking family from out-of-area as a treat to see the City in one fell swoop, I didn't appreciate knowledge or humor, he made negative comments about homeless persons, and inaccuracies about rentals and cost of living in SF, but my family liked the van tour. Van driver was 30 min late.
