Their cava is made from the local grape varieties Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada, and are aged for at least 18 months. Vega De Ribes also produces red and white still wines, which are also of high quality. Villadelops is another family-owned winery that has been producing wine since the 14th century. Their wines are aged in oak barrels and have a unique character due to the use of wild yeast during fermentation. Villadelops also produces a dessert wine, which is made from overripe grapes that have been affected by noble rot. Vega De Ribes and Villadelops are excellent examples of the quality and diversity of wines produced in the Penedès region of Catalonia. Your local guide will make interesting explanations of the region and viticulture during the route, you will learn about the rich culture and history of the region and you will stop to enjoy an interesting tour in a family-owned and ecological winery to learn the secrets of wine & Cava production and enjoy a commented tasting. This is a small group to ensure a personalized experience with a maximum of 12 persons. Every Tuesday & Friday, weekdays, during all the year. You will meet at 10:00 AM at our Bike Center, at Lavern-Subirats train station and catch the return train around 2:00 PM (free parking if you arrive by car) and you will have the option to extend your bike rental if you prefer to keep the eBike for the rest of the day.

After a short walking tour, arrive at the Celler de l'Hospital winery and the CIM (Malvasia Interpretation Center) where you will visit the winery and one of the few urban vineyards in Spain. We travel in a comfortable air-conditioned SUV to Tarragona where we stop for a photo at the Devil's Bridge before we start a walking tour of the city at the Balcony of the Mediterranean. We walk along the seafront to the amphitheater, then we walk to the circus, the forum and the cathedral. We enter Santa Tecla cathedral, a masterpiece of gothic architecture built on top of the foundations of a Roman temple. After the visit, we can stay in the area for a yummy lunch in the center of town. In the afternoon we commute to the trendy beach town of Sitges, where you have time for shopping, a sunbath or a laid-back time in one of Sitges' stylish street cafés.
