Remarkable! The look of peace on the dervishes faces As they danced with their eyes closed was awe inspiring. It was a shame some of the audience were chatting and moving throughout the performance and spoilt it for others. I would suggest going early to have time to read the information boards which explains what Sufis are and what the dance represents.
This is a religious ceremony and I don't think it is appropriate for younger adults and teens who are not interested in Islamic rituals and ceremonies. It is not appropriate for people to be sleeping and joking around during this ceremony. They should not waste their money if they don't want to experience this.
It was a very different experience. Before entering, I didn’t really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the spiritual and mystical environment created there. Definitely worth going for those who love spirituality.
arrived early and read the displays information. we were allowed into the hall where the semma was held. shortly after it started. seats were spread out and other groups were separated from your group
A true experience. I did not expect such a detail explanation of the reason of their actions ( the Dervishes) but it was enlightening. it took almost 25 minutes of the presentation
