Meet your local guide at Sintra Train Station, Cascais Train Station, or a Lisbon meeting point, then hop in an air-conditioned minibus/SUV and begin your full-day adventure. A UNESCO World Heritage Listed Location, Sintra is bursting with palaces, mansions, and romantic charm. On the tour, immerse yourself in the rich history of the town and discover why it has been a source of inspiration for authors and artists throughout the centuries. Follow your guide through the picturesque streets of the town’s historic center, and stop at a local café for a traditional Portuguese pastry. Then climb the winding mountain roads to the stunning Sintra National Palace and admire its array of eclectic architectural styles, including Moorish, Manueline, Gothic, and Mudéjar. Later, make your way to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. From here, soak up breathtaking views of the infinite blue Atlantic Ocean and lose yourself in the glistening landscape that stretches out before you. Head towards the elegant resort town of Cascais next, passing by the famous surfing beach of Guincho as you travel along the coastal road. Very much enjoyed our day with Miguel. He was very personable and informative. He allowed us to spend time in places that were of interest to us without rushing us or imposing his desires on us. It made this tour so much more enjoyable than with a whole crowd of tourists who all had to do the same things.

We were surprised to have basically a private tour tailored to our needs! It was a wonderful experience where we learned a lot about the region, had great conversations, and also time to ourselves to explore. The highlight was the palace at Queluz! We practically had it to ourselves! I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone and will be in contact to organize my next tour when I’m in Portugal!

Our Guide came to pick us up at the hotel and made a tour starting with Cascais, then we went to Cabo de Roca, Sintra and the Pena Palace. At each stop he explained the most important thing in the place and gave us time to go for free and discover more. The guide named Miguel spoke Spanish, English and other languages perfectly. He was very pleasant and attentive at all times.
