Sail the southwest coast of St. Maarten on this classic half-day excursion from Simpson Bay. Enjoy a gourmet Caribbean lunch and snorkel in turquoise waters, or snooze in the shade.
What to Expect
Every day feels like a Sunday on this adventure along the southwest coast of the Caribbean island of St. Maarten. Known for its laid-back attitude, the trip takes things a step further and will have you snoozing on the aft deck or splashing around in the warm waters.
You sail on a classic schooner called Passaat, from the Dutch word for “Tradewinds.” Built in 1911, and with an interesting history, she continues to provide guests with unique trips around St. Maarten.
With the wind in her sails, you stop in a calm bay for a swim or snorkel while the crew prepares a gourmet lunch. Relax under the shade of the foredeck as you tuck into Mahi Mahi or chicken with mango sauce, plantain, rice and salad.
An open bar is available, serving a selection of wines, beers, rum punch and sodas. And to set the scene up perfectly, you will be accompanied by delightful music throughout.
The relaxing 4.5-hour adventure departs from Simpson Bay at 11:30 every day, and will have you back on dry land by mid afternoon.
