Sail off the coast of St. Maarten in a classic schooner for a sunset experience before dinner in Simpson Bay. Enjoy a gorgeous 3-course Caribbean meal as the sky explodes with color.
What to Expect
As the sun sets you will experience the southwest coast of St. Maarten like never before on this 3-hour trip. Known for its laid-back attitude, the excursion from Simpson Bay takes things further and combines a sunset cruise with dinner on board.
You sail from Simpson Bay on the classic schooner Passaat, from the Dutch word for “Tradewinds.” Built in 1911, she has an interesting history and continues to provide guests with unique trips around the island of St. Maarten.
Sit back and relax to delightful music while the wind hits the sails. Look out for shooting stars and make a wish. The sky will explode with a gorgeous palette of reds, yellows and oranges.
The tour then sails back for a 3-course dinner aboard, anchored in Simpson Bay. Enjoy delicious Caribbean cuisine in a relaxed and informal setting. Choose from Mahi Mahi with Mango Sauce, or Caribbean Beef Curry with rice, plantains and veggies. A dessert of coconut cream pie, along with coffee, rounds the night perfectly before you return to your hotel.
The relaxing dinner cruise runs every Wednesday and Thursday evening and can accommodate special dietary requests with prior notice.
