Full description
Drysuit snorkeling in Silfra rift, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Thingvellir National Park, is definitely an out-of-this-world adventure and a hidden natural wonder with 100 meters of underwater visibility and bright colors make the experience almost unrealistic. The pristine water in Silfra is one of the purest and clearest waters you’ll find on the planet. When snorkeling in Silfra, you are traveling between two continents, ending the tour in a lagoon often called "the real blue lagoon" because of the bright blue color of its water. Snorkeling in Silfra rift, where you are guided into this magnificent scenery, is a total must-see for all nature and adventure thirsty individuals and groups. You will view Silfra from the surface while the slow current carries you through the stunning underwater landscape. The experience was amazing! When you are getting ready and putting on the suit is really cold but once you are in the water it is perfect. Our Tourguide was Luis and he was the best!! He helped us all the time and explained everything perfect. At the end my Baselayer was a little bit wet and Luis gave me a Onesie to use on my way back so I wasn't freezing. I highly recommend this activity.

The experience was great and I would highly recommend it to others. Though I might not do it myself again in the winter. It was a bit too cold outside and going in the water was actually warmer. I would recommend hand warmers and foot warmers pre and post snorkeling. It was was unbearably cold prior to getting in where I almost turned around and skipped it.

Amazing! We had Luis as our instructor and he was amazing. Funny and super sweet. I was terrified to go in the water at first, but he was able to make me comfortable and it ended up being one of the best things I did in my time in Iceland. Even if you are scared, GO IN!! It's not that bad.. I was in a Drysuit and was completely dry when I got out. Your face will be a little numb, but you won't even realize with how beautiful the scenery is. Luis is the best!!!
