It was formed over the course of 10,000 years by water gradually eroding sandstone. The grotto is a protected geological site and the oldest tourist attraction in Latvia. We got picked up at our apartment, which was very nice! The guide (Kristina) was very kind and helpful and told us a lot about Riga and things to do in Riga. The flight was amazing! The sky was clear so we had a clear view. We got engaged during the flight and Kristina took a lot of photos. It was perfect!
