Leaving the venue at the calm waters of the V&A Waterfront, you will paddle into the fresh movement of the ocean where we will encounter the active local marine life and possibly catch a glimpse of some local dolphins, whales, seals, penguins, and sunfish. You will also witness unique views of Lion's Head, Signal Hill, the Twelve Apostles mountain range, and a local shipwreck. The tour will then finish with a breathtakingly photogenic view of Cape Town's treasure, Table Mountain. This location is one of the most picturesque places on earth. No previous experience is needed. The boats are extremely stable and the guides come from a competitive kayaking background with extensive ocean knowledge. They monitor the ocean conditions carefully so you will be perfectly safe. The venue is located in the V&A Waterfront parking garage, next to the Oranjezicht Farm Market & the Lookout Function Venue. The shop is situated at the main pay station, under the ramp from the ground to first floor. Set your senses free on a 2 hour Sea Kayak Tour - your outlook of Cape Town will be positively changed forever.

When you arrive at the meeting point you will be welcomed by our awesome team. Ask for Mike or any of the Tandem Flight Co staff in blue t-shirts. You will then be assigned to one of our experienced pilots who will brief you about the flying and help with the necessary paperwork. We then get you ready for your tandem paragliding experience. Your pilot will talk you through the takeoff procedure and supply you with all the information you need for a safe experience. Sometimes you will need to run a bit before flying, but this is easy and your well-trained and experienced assistants and pilot will ensure a smooth takeoff. After the initial adrenaline of the takeoff, you can settle comfortably into the harness and enjoy the ride. It really is like flying like a bird: come see for yourself. Your crew is world-class, using state of the art equipment and flying a place they know very well. This is the safest form of paragliding you can get. Our impeccable safety record over many, many years of flying speaks for itself. Your flight is a Tandem Paragliding Instructional Flight and your pilot is a qualified Tandem Flight Instructor. This tandem flight experience is your first step to becoming a licenced paraglider pilot. We are a registered Declared Training Organisation (SACAA/0024/DTO) with the SACAA and are governed by the South African Hangliding and Paragliding Association (SAHPA).

All our Instructors are SAHPA (South African Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association) members and licensed by SACAA (Civil Aviation Authority). We fly from Signal Hill or Lions Head where after we land next to the ocean in Sea Point. Once you arrive at the launch site we will do all relevant paperwork, a pre flight briefing before commencing the beautiful tandem introductory flight. The duration of the Air Experience is normally around 1 hour in total from arrival to completion. The minimum age for the tandem flight is 14 years old and the maximum weight limit is 110kg. Come and fly like a bird with us and depending on the wind direction we will Tandem Paraglide either from Signal Hill or Lions Head in Cape Town. You don’t need any experience to do a tandem paragliding Air Experience introductory flight and our ground crew will assist you during the takeoff process. After the flight you can either drive back up the mountain with us or make your own way from the landing area in Sea Point. The HD Photos and Video is an optional extra at R400 per person. We copy the photos and videos onto your mobile phone after the flight so please have around 3GB free space available. Flight time is 5 to 20 minutes depending on wind strength.

Join a guided tour and visit Cape Town's top attractions, including Table Mountain and Robben Island. Enjoy the convenience of a hotel pickup and travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle. Start your day of exploring Cape Town with an early pickup directly from your accommodation and set out to see the city's most iconic attraction, Table Mountain. Purchase your tickets and hop into one of the cable cars to make your way to the top of the mountain. Spend some time soaking in the breathtaking views of the City of Cape Town, Signal Hill, and Lion's Head. Then, join your guide as you walk to another lookout point and be rewarded with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, Camps Bay, and the Twelve Apostles Mountains. Ride the cable car back down the mountain and head to the V&A Waterfront where you'll board a ferry to Robben Island. Disembark at Murray's Bay Harbor on the east coast of the island and board a bus that will take you to all the historic sites. Get a guided tour of the prison while learning about South Africa's history, the struggle against oppression, and the thousands of freedom fighters who were imprisoned on Robben Island, including former president Nelson Mandela. Return by ferry to the V&A Waterfront and enjoy some free time to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants (cost not included). nd Finally, hop back into your air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy a comfortable ride back to your accommodation.

Our Tandem Paragliding instructional flights start at either Signal Hill or Lions Head, all depends on the wind direction on the day. We will be sure to let you know where it will take place. After the usual paperwork is completed, we will run through a preflight briefing, going through the basic parts of the paraglider, take off sequence and launching instructions. Once airborne the highly experienced tandem instructor pilot will chat to you about how and where we are able to stay in the air without a motor, and how we can even gain altitude. All this while taking photos and videos of the 360-degree views. There is a short glide out over Sea Point towards the landing on the Sea Point Prominade. If we get to launch off Lions Head, we glide out over Camps Bay to the landing at The Glen Club. Your photos and videos, which are on optional extra for R 400, are then copied directly onto your mobile phone in the landing field. Lastly is the short Post flight briefing and of course the answering of any questions. We will also arrange to take you back up to take off if your vehicle has been left there.

Gaze at the beauty of the ocean as well as at the beauty of the Cape Town Atlantic Coastline. Cruise along and see the city from a different perspective. During the tour, you have the chance to see dolphins, cape fur seals, whales, penguins, sunfish, and more depending on the season. Get views of the 12 Apostle Mountain Range, Signal Hill, Lions Head, and Table Mountain as you make your past Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay, and Oudekraal. 

Our trips departing from Quay 5 in the Waterfront. With a bit of luck you will have a chance to see Cape Fur Seals, Dolphins, Whales, Penguins and Sun Fish and potentially much more as we search the bay for sea life. The destination of the tour is not always the same as this trip is really about spending time on the water and looking for the rich sea life that can be found in the proximity of Cape Town. However you can be assured that you will have amazing views of the Table Bay and will be able to see some of Cape Town most amazing landmarks from the water: Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Lion's Head, Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches, Robben Island. You will of course be able to take pictures when the speedboat occasionally stops to make sure you have memory of such incredible experience. The trip starts with a safety briefing by the skipper, the fitting of life jackets and the signing of the indemnity in our offices on Quay 5. Children are welcome as long as they are under the supervision of adults. Our expeditions are weather-dependent and routing will depend on the expected weather conditions for the day.

Make your way to the V&A Waterfront Helipad to check in about 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled shared helicopter flight over the city and coast. Receive a safety briefing on arrival, and then proceed to the beautiful flight deck to see the operation up close and personal while you wait to board your flight. Climb aboard a helicopter and start your adventure with a complete circle around Table Mountain. Continue over the city to see Cape Town Stadium, one of the venues of the 2010 World Cup. Then, travel down the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, passing Signal Hill, Camps Bay and Clifton Beach along the way. Get bird's eye views of the luxury homes, and marvel at the mountains of the Twelve Apostles.
