As soon as your boat leaves the cape of Kontou, you will see the first bay, Fykiada, where you can swim. To the left you see the small church of Agios Georgios. Later, the boat turns to the east and after passing along Platis Gialos you will reach the bay of Apokofto and Chryssopigi. Here, you can visit the most famous monastery of Sifnos. According to the legend, during the times of pirates, nuns used to live in the monastery. During a raid on the island one nun stayed behind and prayed to the Panagia Chrysoppigi to help her. Panagia then responded to her prayers and split the rock in two, throwing the invaders into the sea. The split rock is a characteristic feature of Chryssopigi.  After Chryssopigi, you head east to visit the bays of Faros and the three beaches: Fassolou, Faros and Glyfo. You will see the old mines and have the chance to explore each of these beaches. Then, you will head straight to the famous castle, Kastro. Kastro was the first capital of Sifnos, a place that was inhabited even during the prehistoric times. Kastro is built on a rock and the construction resembles that of a fortress hence the name. As you leave Kastro, you will head north where you will discover the bay of Dialiskari. Here, you can swim in the crystal clear waters and visit the monastery. After a while the captain will take you back to the marina of Platis Gialos.

"Local Captain Anthi and her husband Nick will pick you up from your hotel or the closest meeting point to your hotel. Our vehicle is a white nine-seat luxury mini van. Your tour will start right away as Captain Anthi is local, so you can ask her about anything you want on your way to the fishermen shelter in Vlychada. As soon as you arrive at Vlychada, you may want to take some pictures at this scenic, picturesque fishermen port with the colourful boats and the local fishermen. You will then get to see our fishing boat and learn how it works, while later on - if you wish and if the weather is appropriate - you will enjoy coffee or tea on board. Next stop will be Faros in Akrotiri. This is the village we come from. We ‘ll be more than happy to introduce you to our family and offer you a rich meal with fresh fish or seafood, greek salad, tzatziki, fried white Santorini eggpland and zuccini mix, local tomato balls and bread. Drinks such as local wine or beers or soft drinks are included, as well as bottled mineral water. In the end of the meal, mama Maria offers homemade dessert. The Lighthouse is a ten-minute walk away but we could also drive you there to enjoy some great views of the caldera.
