What people are saying about Sian Ka'an

Overall rating

4.8
(346 reviews)

I gave 5 star for activity itself. I loved to support marine life in wild. I would like to support the tourism, which supports wild animals. not captive, manipulated by humans to do the tricks because they kept hungry till" show time". There is down side to the tour: drive from Playcar to Sian Ka'an 3 hrs in an oldish microbus(with traffic), last part of the trip a road with pot holes - microbus is not designed for. I wish the company made that part of the trip more fun like ride on all terrain vehicles. Bathroom breaks are scars. starting point entrance is flooded with trash. Our guide advised not to use Bathroom at that location neither. I wish the tour company invested part of our fee into building reasonable bathrooms for tourists. Punta Allen village is also sinking in trash: beautiful nature, beaches full of micro plastic waist. I do hope our interest in tours to that beautiful reserve will promote cleaning. kids: I would not recommend below 12 due to rough journey.

The excursion to the Saan Ka'an reserve was one of the most beautiful things done in Mexico. The agency "Community Tours Sian Ka'an" organized it in an excellent way: super punctual hotel pick-up, abundant breakfast, boat ride with explanation of the various birds, swimming in the river with further very interesting tips, and very good lunch + accompaniment back to the hotel. Special mention for the two guides, Memo and Manu. Both very friendly, kind, competent. You can see that they do their job with passion and this makes the visit even more special! Thanks for everything.

Absolutely great. Our guide, Martin, was very knowledgeable, kind and caring of the environment. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Felt always taken care of and expectations were set and met every time. We highly recommend the tour - we were also lucky as we saw crocodiles, turtles, manatees, dolphins and more. The only caveat is the Punta Allen - I wish they did something about the trash that washed up on the shore, it’s really bad and ruins the experience of a nice beach.

It was a very pleasant experience to visit this important ecosystem. We had the opportunity to see beautiful specimens of birds and reptiles. I definitely recommend it.

It was really beautiful. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone, there was so much to see and it was so much fun.
