Riviera Maya: Sian Kaan Boat Trip Adventure
- Small group
- Pickup available
- Duration: 10 hours
Amazing adventure! I’ve been traveling to Q Roo and the Yucatán for 20 years and this was my first trip to Sian Ka’an. Mexico Ka’an was professional and always put our safety first. Our guide, Ursula, was so passionate and educated on the history, flora and fauna of the area, and out boat captain, Oscar, knew the wildlife habitat like his own home. We saw crocodiles, manatees, rays, dolphins, turtles, so many bird species and even a nurse shark - all in their own habitats. If you really want to get off the grid into nature for a day, I highly recommend this tour with this tour company. So worth it!
We did the safari to Sian-Ka’an today and it was a highlight of our trip to Mexico. We were very lucky to see turtles and a group of dolphins. From the booking to the drop off everything was perfect. Breakfast and drinks were included, and the lunch that was provided very delicious (fresh coconuts and freshly baked brownies). Not to forget the driver Hernan and possibly THE best tour guide one could wish for - Adrian, who made the whole experience with wit and charm more then enjoyable, even during a 3-hour journey and bumpy rodes. Definitely check this out!!
It was so nice having a guide that was super knowledgeable about Mayan culture and history. Javier and the entire team were all nice and helpful. We loved going through the Rivera Maya and getting to float around in the river, I could do that all day. And the cenote was beautiful. It was just the right amount of time and we ended at lunch. I would do this all over again because it was super convenient and we were with people who know the area.
This was a wonderful experience with my 7 year old daughter. One of the highlights was the guide, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history and the fantastic nature found in the reserve. We saw dolphins (stayed and played), giant sea turtle, beautiful birds on the island, crocodiles and a manatee. It poured with rain in the beginning, they whipped out raincoats and then it cleared after an hour. Come prepared for rain and sun!!
It was good. Sian Ka’an is very beautifull. The road to get there is a pain, would not recommend to people with back injuries. Our guide Adrian was very nice and knew a lot about Sian Ka’an. We had a good time, didn’t see all the animals but the surrounding itself is beautifull. Also, try to bring your own breakfast as it was really disgusting. Enjoy!
