Fantastic trip. Driver who picked us up from hotel. which was an unexpected bonus add on after booking confirmation. The bus trip was informative with the bonus of a fantastic devonshire morning tea of divine scones jam and cream followed by the short bus trip down to the train station and the highlight of our trip the train ride with great views as we puffed and chuffed our way thru the forest. Then to finish another great adventure on the bus as he showed us more of the Dandenong ranges as we wended our way home to Melbourne city. My husband needed a wheelchair and at no time were we made to feel a nuisance as the driver readily placed the folded up chair out of the way during our bus journey. Highly recommend this trip to one and all. Firstly for the scenery, then the novelty/nostalgia of the steam train, and last but by no means least the friendliness of all concerned in offering the service from the driver to the railway volunteers and the cafe staff.
An unforgettable and wonderful experience! The organization was very professional and always updating on every single detail. The van was truly comfortable. Our tour guide Matt was very informative, professional and always trying to fit all our needs during the trip, paying attention to all the details and explaining throughout all the places we went past an interesting description. Believe me when I say that this tour is good value for the money! Beautiful landscapes and personalised attention, you won't be disappointed.
Really enjoyed the bus driver was friendly funny and informative, nice comfortable bus air conditioned comfortable seats, morning tea was delicious and having option to feed birds or go for a short walk was good. Puffing Billy was great and just the right amount of time, only negative thing I have to say was we only had 30 minutes to spend in the beautiful town of sassafras, wasn’t long enough to explore the quaint little shops, other than that was awesome! Well worth it!
High quality planning. If you like nature, trains and tree phones this is for you! The stop on the way to the train where we had morning tea had a besurifjl walking trail. Highly recommend!
Excellent morning. Would have loved longer in Sasafrass. Thanks James for a great tour; your attention to detail and friendliness made for an enjoyable time.
