What to Expect
Visit the various coastal and mountain ecosystems that are unique to the Gulf of Aqaba on a full-day trip to Abu Galum. Here you will be exposed to both land and sea through a variety of interesting, cultural experiences.
Begin with departure from Sharm el-Sheikh in a 4x4 Land Cruiser. Upon arriving in Abu Galum, you will immediately understand why the area is a protected reserve. The coral reef is mostly undisturbed with a high diversity of reef fish, and the area boasts an overwhelming richness of flora and fauna. High mountains, fresh water springs, picturesque sand dunes, and more make up this area that hosts 165 various plant species, 45 of which are unique to the area.
Once you are in Abu Galum, you will be able to go in the water and snorkel over the coral reef and to the famous Blue Hole. You will also have the opportunity to ride a camel in the areas where roads do not go, as well as spend time in Dahab, where you will eat lunch and have time for bargain shopping.
