What to Expect
Unlike any other city in China, Shanghai offers an exciting blend of ancient culture and modern attractions. This full-day tour takes you to some of the best sites of this amazing city.
Begin with a trip to Shanghai's waterfront to visit the Bund, well-known for its grand display of colonial-era architecture. This bustling area is the heart of Shanghai sightseeing. Here you'll enjoy the wonderful view of both sides of the Huangpu River.
Next, enjoy a fascinating visit to the Shanghai Museum of Ancient Chinese Arts. The museum boasts a collection of more than 120,000 rare and unique items in 21 categories, making it the most remarkable cultural institution in the city.
After lunch, we continue with a drive along the beautiful, tree-lined streets of the former French Concession District to visit the gorgeous Shanghai Museum of Arts and Crafts. Here fine jade, ivory, and bamboo carvings are on display, as well as gorgeously stitched tapestries, and a variety of folk crafts. Along the way, we stop by the Jade Buddha Temple, with its priceless collection of jade statues.
The last stop is Shanghai's hottest new entertainment district, Xin Tian Di, with its many boutiques, pubs, and restaurants. Have a couple of drinks at a venue of your choice before heading back to your hotel.
