Depart Seville and take a 20-minute drive to the village of Santiponce, where you will enter the Roman city of Italica and explore at your own pace.
Discover the remains of the 3rd largest amphitheater of the Roman Empire. See the monument to Trajan and visit the gym and thermal baths. Admire the mosaics in the House of the Planetarium, and follow in the footsteps of gladiators as you walk through the tunnels they used.
Return to Seville and stop at the magnificent Monastery of San Isidoro del Camp en route. Founded in 1301, the complex is home to 15th century Mudéjar-style murals and a wonderful 17th-century altarpiece.
