Full description
Discover the prettiest Berber valley, the Ourika Valley, situated 60 km south of Marrakech. During your tour, witness Berber villages and hamlets perched on mountain slopes of the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy plenty of time to stop to take photos of the little terraces of various crops and other wonderful and exotic sceneries. Take the time to visit a local Berber house and some stores of pottery and varied samples of minerals and crystals before you return to Marrakech. Get picked up from your hotel in Marrakech and drive into the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains which rise up from the plains. Then, enter a lush, agricultural valley with a thriving traditional culture. Make your first stop of the day at a place where local Berber women extract precious argan oil from the kernels of the argan tree. Next, head to the village of Setti Fatma - the starting point for a 1.5-hour hike to the Siti Fatma Waterfalls. Follow a steep trail across a series of narrow bridges to 7 picturesque cascades. While at the waterfalls, and throughout the tour, take advantage of your day with a local trekking guide to set your own pace, with plenty of time to take breaks or ask questions. Following the hike, cool off with a drink, then continue to a family home for an optional classic Berber meal of tajine, salad, and fresh fruits. At around 5 PM, return to Marrakech where you will be dropped off back at your hotel and the tour will end.

The day was great where the two of us got a private tour. Too bad that the driver could not speak English well, despite sat we had indicated that we wanted english. By the way, there were good English-speaking explanations and guidance at the stops. On the way surprised by a stop at a pottery (this was not in the description of the tour and was not asked or said at the start). Dishes were also sold expensive, we saw the same dishes in the souks for a third of the price. Seeing how Argan oil Word was made was interesting and the prices were best for dr products that you could buy. The hike to the waterfall was great, but very stylish in many places. Fortunately there was a less stylish piece for the way back, which of course requires a tip. It is advisable to have lunch there, because it is really good value for money. Although the driver drives this road often, he has not made or recommended additional photo stops.

The trip was a lot of fun. We were picked up at the hotel and stopped twice on the way to the mountains. In a pottery and at a cooperative, where we were able to learn a lot about herbs and argan oil. The hike was very nice and all guides were super friendly. On the way up you drive through many mountain villages, also interesting. We recommend!

A very nice tour. Extreme punctuality when picking us up. Typical visits (argan oil cooperative, Berber houses ...). Trecking of an hour and a half towards the waterfalls. Lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant next to the river. Very good food. I recommend it. The guide (Iris) very professional and attentive.
