  Amazing experience. Showed us around sete cicades did some stops along the way. Due to the bad weather for the afternoon and days after, Azores outdoor activities contacted us to move our excursion to a earlier time. Which worked out great!

  2. São Miguel West: Sete Cidades & Fogo Full-Day Tour and Lunch

  Starting at your hotel or accommodation between 9:00 and 9:20 AM, you will head to the pineapple greenhouse plantation for a unique visit. Then traveling the southern coast, toward Ponta Delgada to break at the Pico do Carvao viewpoint where you may admire the north and south coasts with its breathtaking scenery.  Continue to Canary Lake viewpoint to gaze upon the Seven Cities Volcano and the majestic mountains that form the crater rim.   3. From Ponta Delgada: Full-Day Sete Cidades Quad Tour

  Your tour starts at Ponta Delgada with a briefing about the vehicles and how to manage them. Then, set off to the lakes. During the climb there are amazing viewpoints from both sides of the island. Stop at Lagoa das Empadadas, for views over the volcanic cones to Ribeira Grande.  The adventure really begins at the off-road trail in Cumeeira, with amazing views over the volcano, the mountains, and the ocean. For lunch, enjoy a regional buffet and take some time to explore the village. The tour continues around the green and the blue lakes, with some explanations from the guide about area. Then it's time to go up to the mountains to enjoy views over Lagoa do Santiago, Cerrado das Freiras, and Vista do Rei. For those who just want to drive an all-terrain quad, and for those who want to explore the natural beauty of this region, you will certainly find the adventure you are looking for.

  5. São Miguel: Sete Cidades and Crater Lakes Hike

  Start with pickup from your accommodation on São Miguel. First, visit two of the most spectacular viewpoints on the island at Grota do Inferno and Vista do Rei. Then, hike to Miradouro das Cumeeiras and admire fantastic views of the ridge and crater lakes below. After the first portion of the hike, rest and have a picnic lunch in the small village of Sete Cidades. After lunch, walk by the stunning Lagoa Verde (Green Lagoon), up towards the viewpoint of Vista do Rei. Enjoy more time to admire the beautiful crater lakes and surrounding landscape from this perfect vantage point. Continue towards the Natural Thermal Pools of Ferraria or Mosteiros Beach. Enjoy some time to rest in the pools or swim in the Atlantic, depending on weather conditions. Finally, be returned to your accommodation on the island.

  6. Sete Cidades: E-MTB Self Guided Tour

  Take a better look at the best Sete Cidades has to offer with a self guided tour on an electric mountain bike. Get a quick safety briefing and a demonstration on how to use your e-bike and all its functions. Learn how to use your GPS tracker and map, then you are all set up and ready to go. Head over the bridge dividing Lagoa Azul (“Blue Lagoon”) and Lagoa Verde (“Green Lagoon”) and enjoy the lakeside view going to the Peninsula and the peaceful picnic area of Baia do Silencio (“Bay of Silence“). Go back to the bridge along easy dirt tracks. Next, take a long and steep ascent on the main road, along which you can stop at the viewpoints of Lagoa de Santiago (“Santiago Lagoon“) and Cerrado das Freiras.   9. Sao Miguel: Western Tour with Whale Watching and Lunch

  Head out to sea on a morning whale watching excursion. Listen to a short safety briefing and the rules of observation before the boat sets sail, as well as some historical information. Cruise along the coast and look out for the more than 25 cetacean species that can be found in the Azores.
