Private Porto Full-Day Tour from Lisbon

5. Private Porto Full-Day Tour from Lisbon

Porto is the capital and gateway to Northern Portugal. It is the city that provided a nation with a name and a fortified wine known world-wide: port. With its splendid geographical location on the mouth of the Douro River and an architectural heritage of exceptional quality, the historic center of Porto was declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1996.  In addition to its history, any visitor to Porto will be quickly impressed by the forceful character both of the city and its inhabitants. The downtown of Porto is called 'Baixa' where all the rhythms of city life, movement and intense retailing are found. There is a very peculiar expression which bestows a Nordic, mercantile tone onto a city that is both spiritually and intensely baroque. In sharp contrast, in the Serralves Park, there is the sheer modernity of the building housing the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the romantic, soothing surroundings of the surrounding leafy park.

We left 10 minutes later. There was a lot of wind and it took quite some time. But we really thought the tour was fantastic! Along the beach, we stopped at all the sights where our guide Helio told us everything. On the way back we went through the park of Porto and that was really beautiful. We enjoyed it, thank you!

It was a very positive experience and the tour was wonderful to get to know a part of Porto that would be more complicated on foot. The guide is a charming person, complete and detailed explanations. Thank you very much for everything

The tour to the cellar was very good, and the wine tasting, the bus was very good and punctual. However, we couldn't take the cruise because the buses closed service from 3pm, it was supposed to be until 6pm.

Really very interesting experience, very enriching museum and the park is incredibly large. You will get what you pay for and choose a sunny day.

Really nice garden and museum. If you like modern art, I totally recommend it. It was easy to change the voucher at the entrance, no problems.
