Going into Russian history

An interesting trip that included the subway and the train to reach a very interesting monastery for its history, architecture, paintings and icons in beautiful cathedrals. All in the company of an exceptional guide.

Leaving Moscow for a day for this place seems strange; yet it is the best, perhaps unique, way to understand the soul of Russia.
