Full description

Meet your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide in the morning at the hotel. (hotel pick up is available only downtown hotel where we can park the bus) Head to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and see the strip of land between North and South Korea that symbolizes a decades-long conflict and an important chapter of world history. Start your tour at Imjingpak Park, situated only 7 km from the Demarcation Line, a tribute to the Korean War. Visit its observatory, monuments, and the Freedom Bridge, which was used to transport 13,000 prisoners home after the war. Continue to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, discovered in 1978, and witness an incomplete tunnel built by North Korea into the South that was denounced by the UN. Descend into history at the Dora Observatory and see into North Korea. Lastly, head to Dorasan Station, the last station before the DMZ and symbolic of the hope of reunification. (Dorasan station is temporarily closed by the military). Be dropped off at the City Hall in Seoul after the tour. If you chose the with suspension bridge option, we will visit the suspension bridge and see the beautiful view as well.

In meinen Augen ein MUSS für jeden Seoul Besucher. Sehr gut organisiert; Abholzeit wird abends zwischen 9 - 11 p.m. telefonisch bestätigt; in einem kleinen Bus wird man abgeholt und dann zum großen Reisebus gefahren; die Tour war bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht, sodass wir insgesamt eine Gruppe von 42 Leuten waren. 1 Std. 20 min. hat die Fahrt zum DMZ etwa gedauert. Insgesamt hatten wir 5 Stopps auf der Tour; an jedem war ausreichend Zeit. Unser Guide Jil war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Insgesamt waren wir um 17:30 h wieder zurück, sodass die Tour insgesamt 7,5 Std. dauerte. (kann aufgrund der Verkehrslage natürlich und die Lage am DMZ variieren, da das Militär allein bestimmt, wann unser Bus einreisen darf. Aus diesem Grund sollte die Tour NICHT gebucht werden, wenn man am gleichen Tag abends noch einen Termin hat.)

Michelle was a great guide, she was super knowledgeable, organized and very friendly. She is very passionate about Korea and I felt very welcomed and learnt a lot. The tour itself is extremely unique and interesting. It’s well worth the 70 bucks and very memorable. The driver for the hotel pickup was also very friendly!

Interessanter Ausflug mit viel Hintergrundinformationen durch die Reiseleiterin Michele. Programmablauf ist straff getaktet aber das war mehr als in Ordnung. Kurz und bündig das Wichtigste gesehen, wir hatten genügend Zeit um uns umzusehen. Ausflug können wir jedem weiterempfehlen.
