Meet your dedicated guide for your private tour, and enjoy a comfortable drive from Seoul to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that has separated North and South Korea since the Korean War. Visit the site where North Korean spy commandos fought with Korean and US combined special forces. Learn about the history of this site and the ongoing tensions between the two Koreas from your expert guide. Stop at Imjingak Peace Park to discover war artefacts, artillery and military bunkers, then follow your guide along the DMZ's barbed wire fence past soldiers patrolling the border. Pause for a delicious lunch of North Korean specialities, including barbecued duck and a range of vegetarian options.   Stop at Odusan observation point to see a real North Korean farming village just across 2km river border. At the end of the day, relax on a comfortable transfer back to Seoul.

The day with Shrek was great and we highly recommend going with him for a DMZ tour! It was so interesting to get to go inside the DMZ with military escorts, and to hear all the stories and histories from shrek. He also organised a rear-facing baby seat for our son and found a delicious lunch restaurant for me as a vegetarian. He also arranged for us to meet a North Korean defector the next evening, which was so fascinating. Recommended!

This was such a great day. Shrek, our driver, picked us up on time and we headed straight out for a full day. Car was so nice and clean and we got water upon getting in the car. The scenery to the DMZ was amazing, and we stopped many times to take photos. The DMZ was very confronting (we were escorted by military vehicle) as we were so close to nth korea. We had access to binoculars at the viewing platform and were given an informative take on the history of the place. We went for lunch and had korean duck bbq which had the best condiment selection i have ever had and the fermented soy bean paste that they made there was amazing (i overdosed🤣). We went to the war memorial museum as the last stop on our trip which was amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending this trip to anyone. Shrek was a delight to have as a tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable
