It takes about an hour by car from Seoul to the DMZ.
Your guide buys a ticket to enter the DMZ at Imjingak park.
The number of people entering is limited, and there're restrictions on ticket purchases depending on how you enter. Your passport is required when purchasing a ticket.
First, Visit the Freedom Bridge,Mangbaedan altar, destroyed train. Face the past of the Korean War at the site.
Then Take the shuttle bus to the DMZ security area. When you cross the Unification Bridge, you will have to check your ID once more.
According to the DMZ security regulations, to enter the DMZ, you take a shuttle bus running within the DMZ and go through the process of checking your ID.
Get off the shuttle bus and Go into the 3rd Tunnel (by monorail or walk) and feel the scene. Watch a video in the DMZ Theater and look at the threaten of north Korea's ongoing aggression since the war in the Exhibition Hall.
The site was originally 'De Militarized Zone', but South Korea discovered that North Korean soldiers had dug underground and invaded the area. Since then, the site has been changed to a military zone by South Korea.
Get back on the shuttle bus and go to the Dora Observatory. You can see the nature of the DMZ, buildings in North Korea, and people with your eyes. It's strange and intense to see in person that this side and that side are divided in half and confronted.
Get back on the shuttle bus and go to the unification village. The village was artificially created in the wake of frequent North Korean invasions trying to cross the DMZ. The residents are generally known to be retired soldiers. Residence is tricky and requires permission. Although the village is not open to anyone, we can specially visit the only supermarket in the village.
Get on the shuttle bus again, Cross the Unification Bridge, and return to Imjingak Park.
Get in the car and go to Lake or Moubtain Suspension Bridge.
Lake Majang and Mountain Gamak used to be a battleground of the Korean War. But now it's a beautiful attraction famous for its long suspension bridge over the lake or mountain. As you cross the bridge, feel where the lake covers the scars of war and has become a place that citizens peace.
Drop at your Hotel or wherever you want in Seoul.
