5 things to bring on a Seine river cruise

The Seine might be one of the world's most scenic urban rivers, flanked by exquisite monuments such as Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. A cruise is the best way to enjoy it as long as you don't forget anything essential! Here's what to pack.

Windproof jacket

Even if all's calm on the City of Love's streets, its river is exposed and highly susceptible to strong winds. Even in summer you might need a good jacket!

Sun screen

Again, the Seine is exposed and so are you. If you're not seeing the sights by night, you'll want to see them on a sunny day. Keep yourself protected!

Camera

Many of Paris' most famous sights can be seen by boat, opening the door to some fantastic photo opportunities. If you have them, enhance the experience by bringing binoculars too!

Sandwiches

Unless you're taking a dinner cruise of course! But even then you should think about bringing your own water bottle.

Somebody you love

Corny? Perhaps. But hey, it's Paris! Why not check out some other tour options to round off a romantic day?

Skip the Line: Eiffel Tower Summit, Louvre, and Cruise Reviewed by A. Setiawan, 01/15/2017

This was great to see everything beautifully lit up.

Was an enjoyable evening. No problems with cruise. You can sit inside and listen to audio about upcoming places or go on top of boat and view the journey.

Paris Illuminations 1-Hour Night Cruise Reviewed by Jeanne, 01/14/2017

Great cruise, just the right length of time.

Totally enjoyed this cruise, only critique would be that they charged extra for the beef main option. With the language difference and accents, it wasn't 100% clear and ended up with a bill at the end on top of what had already been paid. Really good otherwise. :)

combining the 2 saved us money and got the time slot

the eifffel tour had a short 5 minute walk from the meeting point. stephanie the guide gave us some interesting facts about the tour. after getting to 2nd deck you were on your own. a great deal and afterwards the river cruise was relaxing.

Skip the line... Take your time... and Enjoy!

Well worth it to skip the line for Eiffel Tower and make it to the top! Our guide was enthusiastic and very informative. There's alot to explore about the tower so we spent most of our day there. Good thing is after our guide finished the rest of the package is at your own pace, which is great when traveling with little kids. The River Cruise is right next to the Eiffel Tower so we were able to catch it in the afternoon and that was great. Option to take tour outside and go inside once it got too cold. We visited the Louvre the next day, and made the mad dash to see the Mona Lisa, but one day really isn't enough for this magnicent museum. We had a chance to have a meal and pastries at Le Café Richelieu - Angelina... really good! We'll work it!!!
