Following the visit to Avila, enjoy free time to have wine, beer, soft drinks, and an aperitif, or continue exploring the city on your own. Regroup at 2 PM to head to the city of Segovia. Begin your tour of Segovia with a visit to its main symbol, the Roman Aqueduct, as evidenced by its presence on the city's coat of arms. Pass by the Casa de los Picos, Plaza de Juan Bravo and Plaza Mayor. Arrive at the cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption and of San Frutos. Depart Madrid for the medieval city of Toledo, picturesquely located on the banks of the River Tagus. The half-day tour provides a full introduction to the historic city, wandering winding streets to monuments that reveal its fascinating past. Start with a panoramic walking tour of the old quarters, and visit the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to see the magnificent façade of the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary, the old Palace of Justice, and Toledo City Hall. Continue through the former Jewish Quarter, wandering the narrow streets to the Church of St. Tomé, location of El Greco’s famous painting, “The Burial of Count Orgaz.” Visit the old Synagogue of Ste. Our first stop for the day will be at the city of Ávila, one of the best-preserved fortifications in Spain. See Romanesque-style churches, Gothic palaces, and a fortified cathedral dating back to the Middle Ages. Visit the Walls of Ávila and and imagine the stories they have seen through the centuries. Marvel at the fortification and towers, which have granted the city a World Heritage Site status by UNESCO. We will continue the tour to Segovia. On arrival, we will divide in two groups. If you have chosen the option to visit Segovia at your own pace, you will have approximately three hours of free time. The rest of the group will go to the restaurant. Those who have chosen the gastronomic menu will enjoy a gastronomic lunch with roast suckling pig that will not leave you indifferent. People who have not chosen the gastronomic lunch will have a typical courtesy tapa and a drink. After lunch, those who have chosen the tour with monuments will meet again with the guide to start the tour in Segovia. Walk through the old Jewish quarter of the city, visit the outside of the Cathedral and walk towards the Alcazar of Segovia. Begin in downtown Madrid and travel to the cities of Avila and Segovia by coach. The route will continue along a stretch of the famous Walls of Ávila. How has it been preserved to the present day? We will reveal these questions on the thick wall that surrounds the city's entire historic center as we head toward the Cathedral and other monuments. If the upgrade option is selected, we will make a stop to have lunch in a local restaurant in the old town, where we will enjoy a typical “Iberian Traditional Meal”, if not you can enjoy free time for lunch, the guide will give recommendations of restaurants in the area. We will continue our trip heading to Segovia, our third stop of the day and our third city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will arrive at Segovia's historic center, then, initiate a walk through the main square of the city, the Plaza Mayor, contemplating monuments such as its majestic Roman Aqueduct, we will continue through the old quarter of the city until we reach the Cathedral, and finally we will arrive In the majestic Alcazar, the old royal palace and fortress. There, you will have free time to discover a little bit of the city on your own, take good pictures and have nice souvenirs. At the end of your tour (the experience lasts around 12 hours), you will return to the center of Madrid in a comfortable minibus, where your guide will be able to recommend things to do during the rest of your stay.

Begin your approximately one-hour trip to Segovia, crossing the Madrid mountains until you reach Castilla y Leon. During the walking tour you will be able to admire the Roman aqueduct, the city’s most emblematic landmark and one of the best-maintained elevated aqueducts in Europe. Take a walk through St. Real, Segovia’s main thoroughfare, to discover the Mirador de la Canaleja, a viewpoint with privileged views over the San Millán neighborhood. Then, head to the Casa de los Picos, a house with a striking façade built in the fifteenth century and learn about its peculiar history.
