What to Expect
This full day excursion from Scottsdale drives north to the city of Sedona for a trip along one of America’s lesser-known wine trails. Nestled against spectacular red rock countryside and the lush canyons of Cottonwood, Verde Valley offers a range of skilfully crafted wines to satisfy any wine taster’s palate.
You will spend the day touring the valley, with the remarkable buttes and spires of the Sedona rocks as your backdrop. Visit 4 boutique wineries for exclusive wine tastings. Whether you are a fan of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Viognier or Zinfandel, there will be a wine to catch your eye.
A friendly cowboy guide will be your constant companion as you discover the finer points of Arizona wine production. You will rest for an inclusive lunch at a local haunt and hear how this most scenic of landscapes has drawn travelers for almost 8,000 years.
Among some of the earliest were Apache and Yavapai tribe and there will be time to purchase some authentic Native American crafts as souvenirs or gifts. Buy a bottle of wine for the evening, or a case to ship back home. Tours are customizable to suit.
Then drive back to Scottsdale through the Tonto National Forest. Look out for exotic flora as you travel. You will be dropped back at your hotel after an action-packed adventure in time to relax for your own evening’s entertainment.
