Konigsee Private Scenic Boat Tour

Konigsee Private Scenic Boat Tour

In the last little southeastern corner of Germany, surrounded by an amphitheatre of majestic mountains, is the King’s Lake, or Königsee. It sits at the heart of the Berchtesgaden National Park, Germany’s only alpine national park and a recognized UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The 192 meters deep lake is therefore only navigated by electrical boats that have operated here for more than 100 years, thanks to Prince-Regent Luitpold of Bavaria, who was afraid the noise would scare away the deer he so liked to hunt here in the 19th century. We should forget that the almost vertical walls of the mountains here cause an echo that can be heard over 7 times. During our visit, you will hear said echo, but no longer caused by the king’s rifle but by the boatmen’s trumpet, reverberating over the mountains all the way to Austria. Let’s embark on a pure romantic journey over the Kings Lake, to see the St. Bartholomä peninsula just behind the east wall of the Watzmann mountain.

My tour was really awesome, my husband and I really loved the places we went. 10/10!! Although the timing was a little rushed from 2 different breathtaking photo locations of the Bavarian Alps that were amazing, followed by a hike at the Koningsee overlooking the lake between 2 mountains (you won't see the Church of St. Bartholomä), lastly visiting Berchtesgaden little town that had christmas market - all in 4 hours! The experience was magical because it was winter and the snowscape was perfect for Christmas. Our guide Sonia was knowledgeable, kind, humorous and I felt that the knowledge she shared was enriching! Her driving skills was also amazing in the heavily snowing weather! Overall will definitely recommend but do manage own expectations regarding the time as its stated 4hours (inclusive travelling)! :)

December trip to the very slopes of the mountains, in a small group and luxurious conditions was a wonderful experience. Excellent service from the pilot, driver. It's worth it, it's worth it and it's worth it again, I recommend it.

This was a good tour to do with children. The bus ride wasn’t too long and you can see 2 different villages. They were both pretty and scenic. We also visited a Christmas market.

Our driver, Thomas from Czech, was so much fun! Seeing the city and sights were fantastic. We would highly recommend this tour and if you can get Thomas count yourself lucky!!

Stunning views.Very enjoy the trip. It will be great if the ticket is included.
