Full description

Get to know this picturesque corner of Bavaria near the Austrian border including the famous Königsee lake. Explore the natural beauty and authentic atmosphere of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Be picked up in Salzburg and enjoy a scenic drive to the region. Once there, take a boat trip on the emerald green water of the 8-km-long Königssee amidst the steep rock faces (own expense). Glide silently and in an environmentally friendly way along the east face of the Watzmann Mountain towards Admire its striking red onion domes which can be seen from afar. Disembark from the boat and take a fascinating tour of the Salt Mine (own expense). Admire other attractions in the area including the Obersee lake with its reflection of the Hagen Mountain Range, and the Röthbach waterfall, Germany's largest.

Our guide was super super nice and flexible. My husband was sick the night before and we could not make the 9am tour to Konigssee. Our guide suggested perhaps a later tour to the lake which gave my husband sufficient time to rest and recuperate. Lake Konigssee was absolutely stunning and we got to see the beautiful St Batholomew church on the other side of the lake. Thank you!!

The activity was phenomenal! We had Medo as our tour guide and he made sure we were comfortable in our tour from the start. He was prompt at the hotel for our pickup and gave us an overview of the plan for the day. We then headed to Königssee and were told to enjoy and take our time soaking the experience. We had plenty of time to see Königssee and truly immerse ourselves in the town. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to get the most out of their experience in Austria or Germany. This tour is truly memorable and of course we have to give credit to the tour guide/company. They knew exactly how to give us the best experience!
