Amsterdam: Shared Airport Transfer
- Transportation included
- Duration: 30 minutes
Airport bus dropped us off within one block of our hotel. Very convenient. However, the day we were to leave Amsterdam, there was a marathon right in our neighbourhood and as such as could not use the pass back to the airport as the tram was not stopping near us but being diverted. We had to hire a taxi for 40 Euros which was expensive. But got us there in plenty of time. So make sure that the route you want to take will be available at the times you need it.
397 bus from Schiphol does not go to Central Station Amsterdam as I expected. I found myself half an hour,s walk away. My transport chip card had to be obtained at Central Station so I had to get on a tram with no ticket. After that everything fine good job I remembered to get tram 17 back to where 397 terminates (to get back to airport). The trams & public transport were superb but the 397 is not really a good way to get to central Amsterdam.
Highly recommended. Landed in Schiphol airport, exchanged my voucher to the actual transport ticket in one of the public transport machines reading the QR code. The ticket is valid to take you from airport to central station and unlimited trips inside the city as well.
The ticket was a great way to travel around amsterdam as it works on trams and underground. At the airport the exchange point was easy to find. The ticket for shuttle on the phone just scan on the bus.Very easy with shuttle bus every few mins
It is really a good option to travel in amsterdam and its region. The only bad aspect of it is that you can not active it online and you must go to the centers to active it. So online sale is a joking.
