Our guide, Barri, was great! Very informative and entertaining! The only thing was that it was confusing that our tour said the entire tour was from 9:30-12:30. We assumed that included the ferry boat. We didn’t realize until the bus tour was over that we would need to grab a shuttle to the ferry boat and that it didn’t leave until 1:00. It wasn’t a problem and everyone with Grayline that helped us was great, it just would have been nice to know the details beforehand.
Our guide, Brad, is an 11th generation Savannahan (sp?). He not only knew about the history of the area (and pointed out architectural details), but he also included current and relevant information. He also shared some great restaurants in the area that are favorites of locals! We have booked guides all over the world and we truly enjoyed Brad!
Anne did a really good job keeping the energy level up while we walked around. She thoroughly explained the history of the city and there were really nice places to stop. We learned a lot about tea making which was a pleasant surprise too.
It was a very nice tour. Our guide was personable and funny in her story telling and made the tour fun. There is a lot of walking but she made a point of slowing for some older guests in our group. Very enjoyable.
It was nice, but would have been better if there was more outside sitting had to stand the whole time if you wanted to be outside on the riverboat the city tour was great
