Full description
The city of Sarajevo represents the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a place where different cultures meet and makes Sarajevo a unique multicultural center. It is also a city where great empires ruled and left marks all over the country like the Ottoman Empire, Austria-Hungarian Empire, Communist Yugoslavia and the modern period of independence. Is there a better example of a multi-confessional society than four religious temples within a 100 meter radius? The sounds and prayers one can hear at the same time represents a feeling which cannot be described but has to be experienced. The scent of authentic coffee, the smell of a traditional kitchen, the historical appearance of the old part of the town, friendly citizens and the soul of the city itself will definitely guarantee an excellent vacation. Can you imagine that Sarajevo was the center of the world in 1984? It was the year of 14th Winter Olympic Games. Only eight years later, Sarajevo was war field, with the longest siege in modern history.

Amazing tour! Our tour guide Arna was so knowledgable, empathetic, intelligent, warm-hearted ... I could go on forever. She asked us in the beginning if there is anything specific she should cover. She told us about different epochs in Bosnia, the current situation, showed us all the different perspectives you could have on the city and history. She even continued the tour for 40 minutes longer. In between, she invited us on excellent sweets and in the end, she showed us a very good restaurant for lunch. She also gave us recommendations what else to do in Sarajevo and Bosnia and showed us very nice local traditional businesses. I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed it. I would do another tour again when I am back in Sarajevo. Keep up with the good work and thank you so much for showing us your city!

We had an amazing private tour with Hidajeta. She showed us around sharing her wide knowledge and enthusiasm on the city. It is always nice to meet such people who are able to be professional but simultaneously warm and homey. We definitely experienced Sarajevo from a local point of view in a short time.

This was one of the best tours i ever had in my life. Edin the guide was so knowledgeable about his stuff. He had such clear understanding of the history, politics and always offered an unbiased opinion about even the most controversial topics. I highly recommend this tour and meeting Edin to have a chat about sarajevo..
