What to Expect
This full-day wine tour from Santiago takes you to two fantastic wineries – Concha y Toro and Santa Rita. Here you can learn about the history of Chilean wine production, enjoy wine tasting, and have a delicious gourmet lunch at one of the two wineries.
The internationally renowned vineyard Concha y Toro origins back to 1883. The founding father is Don Melchor Concha y Toro and today the winery is the largest producer of export wines in Chile. He brought the first vines that were planted from the Bordeaux area in France to Chile and fortunately they grew prosperously in the Maipo Alto region.
Santa Rita equally dates back to the 1880s and played an important role in Chilean history in its battle against the conquistadores. Admire the old hacienda style land house and enjoy your wine while you stroll through the old cellars.
