Sanctuary of Truth Museum, it is neither a temple nor a monastery, there are no joss sticks or sacred cases. Rather, it is a voluminous wood-frame and wood-carving work of art, designed and built by Lek Viriyaphant, a wealthy Thai man. The temple contains four main halls, east, west, south, north and south, built according to Thai, Khmer, Chinese and Indian religious concepts. The roofs of the main halls are in the Ayutthaya style, with some of the wood carvings depicting folklore such as Ramayana and Mahapharata. The building's components are all made of wood, with 170 pillars supporting the entire hall without the use of a single iron nail, and are fastened using the traditional woodworking method of mortise and tenon joints. The height of the temple is 20-storey high, standing high on the beach of Pattaya. The whole construction started in 1981.
