What to Expect
On this 5-hour whale watching and wildlife eco-excursion we’ll depart from San Francisco’s Pier 39 and head out through the Bay to a point 27 miles out into the Pacific Ocean. Our experienced captain and our naturalist will be your guides on this amazing marine adventure.

Our destination is the Gulf of the Farallones, which is a national marine sanctuary located off the coast of north-central California. The waters within the sanctuary are home to numerous habitats supporting many threatened or endangered species of marine life.

You’ll learn about marine life from San Francisco Bay to the Gulf of the Farallones. You’ll see whales up close and have sightings of a variety of other marine life. You’ll be on the lookout for seals, sea lions, porpoise, dolphins and sea birds as well.

We recommend that you dress warmly, with waterproof outerwear. It’s a good idea to pack whatever food and drinks you’ll want for this outing as well.

A whale sighting is guaranteed on this tour or you’ll get to go out again at no extra charge!
