Attend a Christmas concert of music by Mozart, Haydn, Bach, and other legendary composers at the historic Hohensalzburg Fortress, perched high above Salzburg. Ride the funicular for free to listen to masterpieces in a magnificent setting. Feast on a holiday menu with your choice of chicken, fish, or vegetarian dishes.   • Free ascent to the fortress is possible on the funicular 30 minutes before dinner. Take the funicular from Festungsbahn
  • The Golden Concert Hall is not accessible for impaired mobility. There is no elevator.
  • The restaurant only accepts payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, CUP, JCB)
  • * During the Advent and Christmas concerts, musical treasures from W.A. Mozart and his contemporaries as well as traditional Advent music from the countryside of Salzburg are performed

A nice meal in a restaurant that was not overcrowded and with beautiful views from the window by our table. The meal was well presented and unhurried. The service staff were possibly short staffed as service was strangely out of keeping with the event. Our bottle of white wine was left by a radiator without comment while the waitress addressed another table. She returned around 10 minutes later and seemed surprised that we had moved the wine and even opened it! The concert was fine for the occasion and an undemanding audience

What a beautiful setting for a wonderful evening. From the view of castle at night, and the ride up the funicular, it was great. Dinner was very good. Excellent food and service. The view of the city from our table was nice. And the concert afterwards was so wonderful. Thanks for a great evening.

It was a lovely evening. We had a very cosy table in the restaurant. The meal was good, but the main course could have been served with a bit more sauce. The advent concert was excellent in a very atmospheric surrounding. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
