Experience the vast culture of Brazil in one evening in Salvador, with a dinner and dance show. The tour includes a traditional Bahian dinner and a folk show that explores the different dance and theater styles of Bahia and Brazil.
What to Expect
Enjoy a night out on the town Brazilian style with this 5-hour excursion to see a thrilling dinner/dance show in Salvador. You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the restaurant for a traditional Bahian dinner as you experience the magic and mystery of Brazil’s different dances.
The evening explores the roots of the Afro-Brazilian culture in Brazil, best displayed in the diverse and electrifying dance traditions of Capoeira, a traditional African slave fighting dance; Macuelê, performed with pieces of wood and large knives; and Candomblé, the Afro-Brazilian dances related to religious divinities much prevalent in Bahia.
You will see the Puxada de Rede folklore play, watch the traditional Dança do Caboclo, and thrill to the sight of the Bahian Samba dance circle, Samba de Roda.
Enjoy your performance while feasting on a traditional Bahian dinner. Bahian cuisine derives many of its dishes from African culture and makes full use of the available produce, such as tropical fruit, seafood, coconuts and lime juice. An international option will be available if you prefer, but you will at least want to try a Caipirinha cocktail, made from the abundant sugarcane juice – distilled to give it an alcoholic kick.
