Depart from Frenchtown Marina aboard a two-person kayak for a 20-minute paddle along the coast of Hassel Island. As you paddle, you'll be rewarded with incredible views of the bustling Charlotte Amalie shopping and historic districts which surround the harbor. Come ashore at Frenchman's Reef and enjoy a short hike to Fort Willoughby, a former British fort built during the Napoleonic Wars and one of the most intact British naval forts in the Caribbean.
Afterward, kayak into Careening Cove and on to Creque Marine Railway, the world's oldest surviving marine rail and slipway where your expert guide will share the history and significance of this unique site.
Conclude your tour with a visit to Garden Beach where you can relax in the shade, cool off with a swim, or enjoy a guided snorkel amid colorful local marine life.

This tour departs daily at 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM from the CYOA Dock in Frenchtown Marina (next to the Hook, Line & Sinker Restaurant). The kayaks are easily seen on the fourth slip on the left as you walk onto the adjacent dock. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour's scheduled departure time.
This is a strenuous tour which includes 20 minutes of paddling each way. Participants should be 16 years of age or over, know how to swim, and be in good physical condition.
