The personal guided tour was fine. Our guide did the tour in both English and Spanish. She did a great job with it considering it is a lot of saying the same thing twice. It was a lot of waiting for the other translation to finish, but at least there was a lot to look at. In hindsight we probably would have opted for the self-guided tour. The only bummer about the day is that the meeting spot provided by GetYourGuide which was supposed to be in the backside of the park across the street from the chapel was wrong. Our GPS told us we were within 3 yards of the spot. Our guide never showed up at that spot. After contacting them, the local guide service did a good job of putting us in touch with the guide who had 25 other guests with her. Unfortunately the meeting spot advertised by GetYourGuide was wrong and caused a scramble that morning. I attempted to contact GetYourGuide, but I think it was a computer I got connected with on Instant message that was less than helpful.
I’m so glad that I booked this tour. At first I was a bit hesitant to buy a guided tour, but I understood that this is the only way to visit the Sagrada Familia. Raul was absolutely amazing: the enthusiasm and knowledge behind the storytelling was what made the difference for this tour. The meeting point was easy to find and the staff was very helpful in coordinating the group. I recommend booking this experience: small groups, intimate atmosphere and great guides!
What a great experience! The Sagrada Familia is truly amazing and the guided tour is the perfect way to discover this incomplete work of art. Raul, our guide, was lovely. he kept us interested throughout the entire tour. If you book this tour, ask for Raul and be on time at the meeting point to start everything smoothly.
Seeing Sagrada Familia was a dream come true for me and it was the highlight of my trip to Spain. Antonio Gaudi is also one of my most loved architects, so it was a very emotional experience for me to see his works up close and personal. I can not wait to return one day soon.
The meeting place was confusing at best causing us to look around and search for the guide. After being told to arrive at least 15 minutes early the tour did not start on time. The tour in total lasted around 1 hour and not the advertised 90 minutes.
